Girl's Scrub & Guy's Scrub

Saturday morning I was feeling the need to dig in the front flowerbed.  It is nothing but mud. Mud, Mud, and more Mud!  I was a mess and so were my nails.  I decided to make a new jar of hand scrub.  Last week I bought a bottle of the Lavender scented Dawn dish soap.  I mixed some soap and sugar together into a runny paste. Presto! Fancy hand scrub!  I decorated a cheez whiz jar (perfect size for everything) and I get a hand spa treatment any time I want.

DH sees this scrub taking spray paint off my fingers (whole other mess I might post about LOL) and asks if I will make him some that doesn't smell Girly!  So, I mixed the sugar and regular, blue, no girly smelling Dawn into an undecorated salsa jar.  He is happy as pie and no smelly stuff touches him...LOL!

Check my sidebar for places I party!  Come join the fun!

The secrets out ... I also use sugar and dish washing liquid to clean stubborn things off of my hands. A car mechanic taught me that one.

That is a brilliant idea! I am going to have to try that! If a lady's hands proclaim her habits, mine proclaim I dig in mud, play with chemicals and don't make time for proper manicures!

How cool! Thanks for posting! I've stopped buying all the fancy scrubs and soaps, because there is too much stuff in there. This is perfect. I'm making it! Thanks for linking up at Fancy Friday, too!

Yum! Think I might have to remember that at Xmas time - the Mother Outlaw loves lavender! We don't have dawn here in the UK but I bet I can find something. Does it have to be 'creamy' soap? Is that the only requirement?
Thanks so much for linking up - tomorrow I'll be featuring it!
