What Table?
What do you use your dining room table for?
And do you sit on your sofa?
We haven't eaten at the table in a week, but my house is filled with beautiful music...LOL!
And do you sit on your sofa?
We have become a haven of wayward guitars, lately. I don't know what I am going to do with my family. I have tried to tell them that we are not running an instrument orphanage, but they don't seem to believe me...LOL!
These don't include the 4 in my daughter's room and the 3 in cases behind my sewing table and the 2 other amps shoved under the table. I am open to suggestions on organizing this insane room!

Fabric Stash
A few new acquisitions for the color piles!
Now that Autumn has arrived, and I am happy to look out my window instead of being outside...
I will be removing everyone's stuff from my sewing room and spending some seriously missed time with my new scissors and old machine...LOL!
Have a Fabulous Weekend!

Pumpkins!
Soon to be pie, cookies, and bread...
The drought was tough on the garden, but we have had a little more rain and there are 2 new pumpkins growing. A small harvest this year but a happy one.

The End of Summer
It feels good to be back in our Autumn routine, after a crazy ending to Summer. Our household had some job changes and now our day starts at 3:30am, sharp! I am putting up some pictures of what I have done so far with the garden harvest. Have A Great Day!
Chopped Salad of cucumbers, tomatoes and multi colored peppers.
45 quarts of green beans, by time I finished.
Beets from the farmer's market.
20 pints of tomato juice and still counting...
I am looking forward to cleaning up the garden this week and getting ready for the broccoli and brussels sprouts to come in soon.
Happy October!

Serving Others
I don't have any pictures of our day serving because we were very busy. We spent the morning starting the trim painting on one elderly neighbor's house and the afternoon helping our other neighbor with her yard work. She recently became bedridden, so while Hubby was weeding, I stitched a quick set of bed pockets for her. The caregiver and I changed her sheets and got the pockets set up with her remotes, glasses, medications, phone and snacks. She was so happy to have everything at her fingertips and no worries of knocking anything on the floor, where she can't reach it.
I wish a blessed week for everyone!
P.S. Garden posting soon!

6:00 AM
Good Morning!
A few snapshots of the garden in the first light of this beautiful day!
A few snapshots of the garden in the first light of this beautiful day!
The corn is knee high and the pumpkins have leaves bigger than both my hands together.
It's looking like a bumper crop of zucchini.
I have to check the beans twice a day to keep them out of the tomato cages.
I think I will need more cucumber recipes this year, 13 of 15 sprouted.
Broccoli, YUM!
French Fries!
We had the tree taken down because it was all over the roof and in the electric lines. Bonus: No more shade over this end, it should catch up to the rest of the garden in no time!
Have a beautiful, creative weekend!

Green Everywhere!
It has been storming all night and now, in between sprinkles, a quick picture of the garden. Everything shows up against the wet soil and you can see better how things are coming along with it. The corn is just above my ankle, so I think it will be "knee high by July"! I am so excited. We drove by some corn fields yesterday and they made my corn look a little wimpy, but I will persevere...LOL!
The green patch in the front corner is the Early Baby Spinach. I harvested 8 quart sized bags from that little patch. I will be tilling it under this weekend and moving a few sweet potatoes into the area.

This Year's Garden
I put almost everything in as seed this year (got busy and forgot to start them early in the trays). It has been warm enough that almost all of it has germinated within 7 days! Yippee!
Here is my list and then some pics from this morning.
Bush beans (Big Kahuna, Gold Mine, Eureka), Golden Egg squash, spinach, potatoes, zucchini, blueberries, broccoli, brussel sprouts, watermelon, cucumbers, orange bell peppers, seedless tomatoes, Big Daddy tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and Three Sisters Planting with pole beans (Purple King, Kentucky Blue), Silver Queen corn and pumpkins.

I planted sweet potatoes and some bok choi seeds in line with the shed, hoping the groundhog will fill himself with them and leave the rest of the garden alone.
The sweet potatoes
about 20 feet from the groundhog home.
I am looking forward to a yummy harvest this year.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner!
I looked out my kitchen window and what did I see?
Paulie!
Inspecting the garden plot...
Likes the extension...
Heading back to his hole for a nap while I get ready to plant spinach for his dining pleasure!
He's going to eat well this year...Grrr!
I think I will have to trellis the sweet potatoes and maybe fence off some of my broccoli, so we can enjoy it,too.
